Preparation

CHILLED:
SERVE AND HOLD – under 40°F

HOT:
STOVE TOP
1. Remove the product from the pouch and place it in a large nonstick skillet.
2. Heat product over MEDIUM-LOW and stir occasionally until you reach 145°F. – 155°F. (approximately 12-15 minutes).
3. Stir well before serving.

DOUBLE BOILER
1. Add water to the bottom pot. Place on stove top and set to a MEDIUM-LOW heat (190°F - 200°F).
2. Remove product from pouch and place product into the 2nd pot
3. Place the second pot with product over the bottom pot with water.
4. Heat product and stir occasionally until you reach 145°F. – 155°F. (approx. 13-15 minutes).
5. Stir well before serving.

MICROWAVE (1500 Watts)
1. Remove ½ of the product from the pouch (Approx. 1lb) and place in a microwave-safe dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap.
2. Heat on HIGH (100% power) for 3-5 minutes or until you reach 145°F. – 155°F., stirring once halfway through heating.
3. Carefully remove plastic wrap as contents will be HOT!
4. Stir well before serving.

HOLDING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Product will perform in hot holding unit for up to 3 hours.
2. Stir product occasionally to minimize oil separation
3. Monitor internal temperature of product every hour, keeping the temperature of product at a minimum of 140°F. Do not exceed 175°F

BOIL-IN-BAG OR HEATING IN BAG NOT RECOMMENDED. IMPORTANT: Packaging material may not exceed 212°F. Microwaves, stove tops, and steamers will vary. Heating times given are approximate and may need to be adjusted.

Serving Ideas

Use as a cold or hot dip with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos, nachos, burgers or tortas, or as a side dish to any protein.
