Tell us a bit about your background and where your culinary career got started, and what led you to MegaMex?
What can operators expect from MegaMex Foods as a culinary industry partner?
Our number one commitment is to work with our partners and ensure the products that we help you integrate into your operation actually align with your needs. This means a partnership approach between you and our team to ensure everyone is aligned and things are going smoothly.
Because at the end of the day, we’re not a one-size-fits-all company. We are a company that provides solutions and helps integrate them into your menu and portfolio, allowing you to put your own culinary and creative twist on them.
What specifically appeals to you about Mexican cuisine?
The bold flavors. The number one thing I love is how the meats are prepared. I’ve always loved foods cooked slow and low and prepared with time and care, so they have deep flavors.
And of course, it always comes back to the sauces. Mexican cuisine has the best sauces and the flavors that actually drive differentiation. I can get four of the same tacos, but I can have seven different sauces to go with them, so I get a unique experience each time. Now, I will still say that I am just starting to dabble in the hotter side of some of the sauces, because there’s such a range. But in the end, my favorite parts of Mexican cuisine are the sauces and bold flavors.
